Scoil Éigse

This is the biggest summer school in Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance for young performers in the world.

This 5-day Summer College offers tuition in all aspects of Irish traditional music, song, and dance. The college runs during the last week in August leading up to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

Selected qualifiers for the competitions at the fleadh are awarded scholarships but the workshops and lectures are open to all. There were over 800 young people making music in Tullamore all week, concluding with a concert on Friday morning in which the tutors entertained the pupils.
